PROGRESS REPORT FYP2 (W17)

Week: 17

Date: 31st May 2021 - 4th June 2021

Activity:

  • Project Presentation & Demonstration Day
  • Submission of Technical Paper, Thesis Report and Progress Report

Objective:

  1. To present and demonstrate my Final Year Project
  2. To submit the technical paper and thesis hardcover to UniKL BMI Library
  3. To submit claim of FYP materials to Finance Department
Content:

  • Presentation Day was done thru Microsoft Teams platform at 11am. The recorded video presentation was presented to the assessors, followed by the demonstration video of the project. After the demonstration video, there was a QnA session where the assessors were asking questions and further explanation regarding the project.
  • The whole presentation took about 30 minutes to finish. I was able to answer all questions from the assessors and ended the presentation well. Few improvements can be added into my project such as:
    1. Adding a flowmeter to to measure the volume of air that goes into the patient. Since it is an automated resuscitator, the consistency of the air pumped is what differs it from a manual resuscitator. This is because when a medical personnel pump the resuscitator manually, the volume of air delivered to the patient might decrease as time goes by, probably because the energy consumed to pump the resuscitator causes the person to feel tired.
    2. Adding an alarm system where the alert system will sound an alarm if the amount of pressure coming from the ambu bag to the patient is more or less according to the patient’s oxygen needs.
  • Next is to finishing writing the technical paper and thesis, and it was sent to SV to be checked for correction and plagiarism check.
  • Compiling all the receipts of FYP materials to be submitted to Finance.

Result:

  • Technical paper was submitted to FYP Medical Electronics Supervisor.
  • Thesis was sent to printing company to be printed and a softcopy was sent to SV.

Conclusion:

Alhamdulillah, I was able to finish my Final Year Project successfully by the end of the semester according to the schedule. A huge thanks to my SV, family and friends for the endless support and help that was given to me throughout this challenging time due to Covid-19 pandemic. Thank you.
